As an MR technologist at the MNC, Matthew is responsible for executing research MRI protocols, managing scan schedules and room reservations, coordinating QA/QC procedures with the MR physicist, and scanning both participants and phantoms across various environments. He ensures equipment functionality, maintains safety standards for participants and staff, oversees data archiving and transfer, trains users on safety protocols, and organizes educational events and tours.

Previously, Matthew worked with the Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security (ARLIS) and the Hearing and Speech Sciences department, where he collected EEG, MEG, and behavioral data. He has since shifted career paths and now has a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science with the goal of becoming an academic librarian.
